[personal profile] yourlibrarian posting in [community profile] marchmetamatterschallenge
Hello everyone! It's check-in time again to see how we're all getting along with our meta importing.

Comment below with any of the following:

1) Do you know of any ways to promote meta you've moved to AO3? If so, share your ideas!

2) Did you write new meta based on the last post's prompt? Share it here! Or if you didn't, share a link(s) to a work that you've recently relocated that you'd like to get more eyes on.

Please don't hesitate to do self-promotion! Anyone participating in or following this challenge is doing so because meta interests them. So it's very likely someone would like to check out those works.

Done!

I'm doing all my meta on DW because AO3 is so iffy about meta. [community profile] followfriday is a good place to boost communities, your own blog, or others you like to read. Events too. You can promote fandom-relevant events on [community profile] fandomcalendar and [community profile] fandom_on_dw.

I made a whole list of meta communities for this fest. See if any fit your meta. I've been crossposting my new material to [community profile] meta_warehouse and [community profile] notfic so it'd be great to see more folks there.

You can promote your meta on most other social media or websites you're on, and March Meta Matters in general.

From my How To section on Crowdfunding, some of this will generalize to meta in terms of passing the word and responding to each other's work:
* How to Boost Your Audience
* How to Make Constructive Comments
* Non-Cash Support Methods for Crowdfunding

My post is here, and it's generating some discussion.

I am almost done with my big series about Thing in Wednesday, just need to get the fanfic list up. Not a lot of comments on it yet, though.

* Meta: "Why We Need Thing" Part 1: Overview
* Meta: "Why We Need Thing" Part 2: Disabilities and Differences
* Meta: "Why We Need Thing" Part 3: Relationships
* Meta: "Why We Need Thing" Part 4: Episodes

TLDR Details

The March Meta Matters Challenge is focused on not just new meta, but making sure older meta gets a chance to be read and remain a part of fandom history. Join us in March to start archiving your work!
