Hello everyone! It's check-in time again to see how we're all getting along with our meta importing.

Comment below with any of the following:

1) If you've already copied some posts over to another location, has any of it gotten a response?

2) Did you write new meta based on the last post's prompt? Share it here! Or if you didn't, share a link(s) to a work that's now housed on elsewhere that you'd like to get more eyes on.

Please don't hesitate to do self-promotion! Anyone participating in or following this challenge is doing so because meta interests them. So it's very likely someone would like to check out those works.

I copied my meta over to my website! Not expecting any responses there, lol. I'm just happy to have it all in-house now. But I did post some new meta I've been sitting on there and to Dreamwidth, and also to Pillowfort where I got a few likes on the post :)

Next stop — copying things to SquidgeWorld! Excited to do that this weekend, hopefully~

I didn't archive much this week because I got distracted by other projects, including some new meta, which is good but also makes the arching process harder.

I also got discouraged by the fact that a fan wiki I've been using for references has changed their policies so none of my links to specific timestamps work anymore. :( Links and images are extremely useful for references to support my takes, but they are also so much work and keeping up with them feels like a never-ending task. So I'm still struggling to decide what I want to do going forward.

I think I need to make my own website for my Madoka Magica meta where I have more control over hosting, but that's still way down the road so I'm trying to focus on what I can do at the moment without making a whole production of it... which means dumping everything into an increasingly unwieldy AO3 anthology. (Everything from this past year is in draft while I continue to sort things out.)

TLDR Details

The March Meta Matters Challenge is focused on not just new meta, but making sure older meta gets a chance to be read and remain a part of fandom history. Join us in March to start archiving your work!
